Architecture is the art and science of designing buildings and other physical structures. This is one of the oldest professions in the world which can be gauged from the historical structures, forts, temples, churches, mosques, bridges, roads which have artistically pleasing designs. With the growth of economy in India, not only the big cities but small towns also require the services of architects to design the structures in pleasing ways.
In order to join an under-graduate course in architecture (B. Arch), the basic qualification is class XII with physics, chemistry, and mathematics. When a big task is ahead, he should have a burning desire to know the history of the place and events keeping in view the future requirements.
There is a great demand of architects in India because of rapid development in infrastructure in urban and rural towns. With experience and skill, one may rise to senior posts with very high incomes pretty soon. For a practicing architect, the biggest scope is in real estate.
